Everyone can benefit from a fresh way of thinking about cooking.

From family meals to advocacy for hunger to embarking on a global culinary adventure Giant CompanyThe nutritionist team has a lot of fresh ideas for both family meals and light meals this fall.

The team recommends picking up an apron and attending a free live class via Zoom for chefs of all ages in September and October of this year.

National Family Meals Month ™

September is National Family Meal Month and was established to shed light on the importance of sharing meals together. GIANT nutritionists say they’re ready to inspire you with simple and affordable recipes in the kitchen, so you can spend more time around the table.

In honor of this celebration, The GIANT Company offers three pantry makeover experiences, each worth up to $ 150. By attending free virtual nutrition classes throughout September, participation in each class will be counted as one sweepstakes entry and families will participate in the contest.

The schedule for the National Family Food Month Class is as follows.

  • A leisurely lunch at 12:00 pm on Monday
  • Family meal every Tuesday at 5 pm
  • Preparing lunch on Thursday at 7 pm
  • Every Thursday at 12:00 pm “Kitchen Gadgets for Good Habits”

Lunch boxes are prepared the night before and have all the tips for tackling the latest trendy kitchen gadgets.

30 days of hunger

The GIANT Company has announced that it is dedicated to eradicating community hunger 365 days a year, especially in September.® A national network of food bank awareness campaigns aimed at mobilizing the public to tackle the problem of hunger.

GIANT Company nutritionists provide education on food insecurity, how to help others, and wise ways to prepare meals on a budget.

Orange is the color of hunger. Every week, we introduce delicious and affordable orange-style recipes to raise awareness. The schedule for the hanger action virtual class includes:

October global culinary adventure

Are you ready for a cooking adventure? Japan, Egypt and Brazil are just a few of the GIANT Company’s nutritionist destinations exploring on virtual tours around the world this October.

This program is described as a fun cooking series where you can create delicious food and learn about countries around the world.

At 10:30 am on Monday, a mini-chef under the age of 6 will enjoy the story and make nutritious snacks, from Japanese-inspired apple cinnamon sushi rolls to Egyptian pizza mummy and Antarctic banana penguins.

Every Wednesday at 4 pm, junior chefs aged 7-18 can try their hands at South African crispy, Chinese stir-fried vegetables, Italian linguine arpest, or Mexican Day of the Dead mini-fruit flan.

Families can meet in the kitchen with a family meal at 5 pm on Tuesday and a family baking at 10 am on Saturday. Both feature simple recipes inspired by countries around the world.

Another option: Take a lunch break with a GIANT Company nutritionist to create a quick and easy recipe to make your Monday noon meal a little more exciting. Try Croque Madame in France, Beef Tacos in South Korea, or Spring Rolls and Peanut Sauce in Vietnam this October.

Also, experience Germany a little in October In the nutritionist’s virtual Oktoberfest series. Celebrate the iconic autumn festival for a month, from beer combinations to traditional German recipes.
